The Deputy Director then forwards the case to the Director of Metropolitan Planning. The Planning & Design Committee reviews the case, evaluates it, and makes recommendations. If the LDA Governing Body is satisfied, it grants final approval. Following this, the conversion fees, which are 20% of the commercial value of the land, must be paid. Compliance with building regulations and mandatory provisions for open spaces and public utilities is also required.
